OUR Beliefs

The Village Church is a member of ECO: A Covenant Order of Evangelical Presbyterians. Here is a link to ECO's Essential Tenets and Confessional Standards.

We are part of the Reformed tradition that grew out of the Protestant Reformation. We consider the Bible as the Word of God and place ourselves under its authority. We believe we are saved by grace through faith alone in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, and not by works. We believe we are saved by grace for service. The Village Church is strongly evangelical in its zeal for Holy Scripture. Bible studies are available throughout the year.

We believe that Jesus is the Son of God; that He died on the cross for our sins; that He was physically raised from the dead; that He is the only way to salvation; and that He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead. Our faith is clearly expressed in the historic creeds of Christianity.

The Holy Spirit is present and active in the lives and in the worship of God’s people today. You may see some worship with upraised hands so please feel free to worship in whatever manner is meaningful to you as you encounter the living Christ.

We would love to have you become a part of the Body of Christ called The Village Church and offer New Covenant Partner (New Member) classes several times a year where you can find out more about what we believe, who we are, and how we worship. Please contact our Pastor Jeff Ogden or a church Elder with your questions.
